Walking through the dunes of Dishoek

Around Dishoek you can take a beautiful walk. From the parking lot you walk straight into the dunes. They are low-growing here, so you have a beautiful view of the beach, the sea and Walcheren. From the water you can breathe in that lovely refreshing sea air. Behind Diskhoek there is plenty of variety. You walk through a small-scale forest area and along meadows. You also pass the Valkenisse Watergang. During the Second World War this canal was part of a German position around Koudekerke. You can also see a bunker of this in the landscape.
