Description
Hoogvliet is a district of Rotterdam where you can take beautiful walks. First you walk through the historic Dorpsstraat. When you arrive at the roundabout you will see the old Dorpskerk on the other side. Further on you pass the Oosterbaken, a 99 meter high residential tower. Through the Oedevlietsepark you walk to the quay of the Oude Maas. Here you can walk peacefully through the wooded area. Back at Fietscafé de Aveling it is time for a nice lunch. Then you start the second loop of this route. This takes you along a quiet road past grassy meadows: a special place in the metropolis of Rotterdam. You also walk a bit along the quay of the Oude Maas.
