This route first takes you to the Hoeksche Waard. From the dike you have a beautiful view of the marina of Nieuw-Beijerland and Het Spui, a tidal river that was created during a flood in the sixteenth century. You will also see some beautiful farms and De Swaen, a former corn mill from 1703. On car-free roads you cycle along the meadows to Westmaas and Mijnsheerenland, two villages on the Afgedamde Maas. In the harbour of Oud-Beijerland you take a ferry, after which you cycle to Hoogvliet. The last part of the route you cycle along the green banks of the Oude Maas. Time to get a breath of fresh air.
