A tour of Brielle, Spijkenisse and Hellevoetsluis

Voorne-Putten is rich in cultural history. You soon pass the first hotspot: Brielle. Or Den Briel where Alva lost his glasses. Get off here to enjoy the historic atmosphere before continuing the route. You drive a long way along the Hartel Canal where mainly push boats sail that transport ore and coal. From the cycle path you have a beautiful view of the surroundings. You cross the Oude Maas via the Spijkenisserbrug. In Hoogvliet you can get off at Bicycle Café de Aveling for a drink or lunch. You then cycle back to Voorne-Putten. Here you pick up the former route of the steam tram between Spijkenisse and Hellevoetsluis at junction 15. The route then leads you past the harbor of Hellevoetsluis back to the parking lot.
