Hiking route: 223423
Provided by: Groots Genieten
At the Gelderse Beek you can go for a lovely walk in the Bergherbos. Grab your hiking boots and discover the charm of this undulating and quiet nature reserve.
Bergherbos
From the starting point you can walk straight into the rolling Bergherbos. A varied forest, because you walk between coniferous and deciduous trees. Occasionally it is a bit of a climb here, but there are plenty of shady spots to relax. Or to experience the deafening silence.
Monumental hail cross
From the forest you occasionally have beautiful views of flowery fields. In the outlying area you will see some characteristic old farms. You will also pass the Hagelkruis van Beek, a meter-high stake with a Greek cross at the top. The hail cross is a national monument. A little further on is St. Martin's Church, the nave and tower of which date back to the fifteenth century.
