This route takes you from the village of Esch for a detour through the stream valley of the Essche Stroom. Put on waterproof hiking boots, the path can be damp. The Essche Stroom is a river of 7 kilometers that originates near Oisterwijk and eventually flows into the Dommel. As you walk along the rippling water, you look out over rugged grasslands, meadows and fields. After a while you leave the Essche stream behind you and continue walking along the Kleine Aa. It is wonderfully quiet here in the countryside. You walk along a tree-lined road past some old farms back to Esch. Time for a coffee with something delicious or a meal. You are welcome at Our Café.
