Top walk to Groeneveld Estate and Castle

The route starts at the cozy and accessible Grand Cafe Groeneveld. In winter you can sit comfortably inside the historic Coach House, and in summer you can enjoy the terrace. The walk starts at Groeneveld Castle, which was built in 1710 by Marcus Mamuchet. Over the centuries it has been inhabited by various owners, Staatsbosbeheer now owns the Castle and Estate. This route takes you across the estate of Groeneveld Castle. You walk on beautiful paths, pass beautiful streams and water features. You walk through a piece of forest, climb the Wijnberg and pass open areas where horses graze. You also walk past Hoeve Ravestein, the working farm on the estate. The farm has a shop with the tastiest organic products. The Grand Cafe is open from 10am to 5pm and parking is free.
