Round Selllingen and Beetser cooling

Your route starts at Camperplaats Op Streek. From here, you'll drive straight into the Ruiten Aa valley. You'll see grain-covered eskers and meadows fringed with hedgerows. You'll also find characteristic Groningen farms, including in the picturesque village of Smeerling. Justice was administered in Sellingen even before 1200. You'll also find a beautiful old church there (turn right onto Kerkstraat). Via the Beetser Koeln (Beetserkuilen), you'll continue to Onstwedde, one of the many charming esdorpjes (estate villages) here. On the edge of Onstwedde, you'll pass one of the two remaining Groningen Juffertorens (devil's towers). This 41-meter-high Juffertoren dates back to the thirteenth century. It appears to be leaning, but that's an optical illusion!
