Description

If you think the beach is boring and that the words sand and motorbike are a bad combination, then you should try this. The Sand Motor, just south of Kijkduin, is a man-made natural barrier that protects The Hague against the sea from the southwest. But you can look that up online. Above all, it is bizarrely beautiful and constantly changing. You see the dunes forming before your eyes. And if that's too slow for you, there are often dozens of kite surfers. Take a walk there. You can also try to park at Monster, but that place is not called that for nothing. My advice: take your time and eat on the beach (during corona they do takeaway). What is also possible, if everything is allowed again, can book a restaurant in Scheveningen Haven, not to be confused with the boulevard.  Watertas is one of the tastiest restaurants in The Hague with a terrace right on the water. Expensive, but you save yourself a long car journey: it is Nice on the North Sea.
