Tour of Chaamse Bossen and Ossengoor

Your route starts at RCN Holiday Park de Flaasbloem - Camping. From your starting point you cycle through the Chaamse Bossen. The sand drifts, wet heath and fens here are planted with Scots pine. In the middle of the woods you walk straight through the beautiful Ossengoor fen. Goor means swampy, this has always been a damp area. For a while it was used as pasture, but now it has been under water for a number of years. Vanished plant species return, changing the vegetation of the area. Other animals are also found: water birds, dragonflies and damselflies feel at home here in the shallow water. You walk straight through the woods back to your starting point.
