From Chaam to the Mark and Breda

Your cycling route starts at RCN Holiday Park de Flaasbloem - Camping. From your starting point you cycle through the Chaamse Bossen. The sand drifts, wet heath and fens here are planted with Scots pine. Then you cycle past Chaam through the hamlets of Dassemus and Kalishoek to the cozy Ulvenhout. From here you cycle into Breda, along the Mark. This river valley south of Breda continues to the border with Belgium. At the beginning of the 21st century, work began to restore the natural course of the Mark. The fish stock in the Mark has improved and the sand martin has returned to the area. The kingfisher is also regularly seen again. You cycle back through the woods. Have a cup of coffee at Brasserie het Smokkelstrand before you return home!
