Galgebossen walking route

The walking route explores the Galgebossen, located on the border between Elverdinge, Vlamertinge and Poperinge. The woods are the relic of a forest that stretched from Beselare to Watou, but disappeared between the 9th and 14th centuries. Those who love fauna and flora can indulge themselves here. Connoisseurs can even distinguish small periwinkle among ancient oaks, an almost unique wild plant for this region!
