Tour Ravensbosch and Bokkenheufke Castle

From here you can walk straight into the Ravensbosch. This dark forest area is wonderfully quiet. You will find special flora there and there are even glowworms. Sunken roads, beautiful high-stemmed orchards, half-timbered farms, chapels and crucifixes: this hilly landscape with its beautiful stream valleys and steep slopes is one of the most beautiful areas of South Limburg. You regularly climb up, but afterwards you are always rewarded with beautiful panoramas of the beautiful surroundings. You regularly see a beautiful characteristic farm. Close to the village of Schimmert is Kasteel Bokkenheufke, a large manor farm with a courtyard. The house dates from the seventeenth century. On the way back you will pass a large white historical building: a former monastery. A stud farm is now located here, you will see beautiful horses there.
