Tour of Vilsteren, Vechtdal and Rheeze

Your route starts at Camping Huttopia de Roos. You cycle under Ommen to the hamlet of Vilsteren, named after the Vilsteren family. It has been an inhabited village with fields and farms since 1382. Now you will find an estate of 1000 hectares, complete with a school, a church and a mill. You cross Ommen, beautifully situated in the Vechtdal. In the river valley you will see flowery meadows and old hedgerows. You visit the esdorp of Arriën, where you pass several beautiful nineteenth-century monumental farms. Rheeze is without a doubt one of the most beautiful villages in Overijssel. Step off to fully enjoy the charming view: centuries-old Saxon farms surrounded by meadows and stately old trees. And then hop on the manually operated ferry across the Vecht!
