Kasteel de Haar Utrecht is the largest and most luxurious castle in the Netherlands and is one of the top international historic country houses. A visit will take you back to the castle's heyday and the enormous wealth in which the international jet set lived at the beginning of the 20th century. De Haar shows the un-Dutch opulence in which the baron and baroness and their guests lived with a wealth of art and cultural history. Master architect Pierre Cuypers (known for the Rijksmuseum design) restored the castle by order of Baron Etienne van Zuylen van Nijevelt van De Haar between 1892 and 1912 in a way that is unparalleled in Europe. The Baron and Baroness' illustrious guests included the likes of Coco Chanel, Maria Callas, Roger Moore, Yves Saint Laurent, Brigitte Bardot and Joan Collins. The castle is buzzing with contemporary activities such as exhibitions, tours, theater and events.

Zuylen Castle is one of the oldest castles on the Vecht, just outside the city of Utrecht. Het Slot has a rich family history with (internationally) influential residents, in which strong women play a prominent role. Writer Belle van Zuylen is one of the most famous residents in the history of Slot Zuylen. The castle shows the residential culture of the Utrecht nobility from the 13th century, with art treasures such as paintings by Gerard van Honthorst, a room-filling gobelin, rare glassware and Chinese porcelain crockery.
