Your route starts at the Véssumse Hoeve. Just have a cup of coffee and then put on your walking shoes! First you walk into Vessem, a quiet village with a large rectangular lawn as the central village square and a number of beautiful buildings around it. Here you can see the St. Lambertus Church. The current building dates from 1882, but the history of this church goes back to the Middle Ages. The church tower dates from the 15th century. Many pilgrims come to Vessem on their way to Santiago de Compostella. You can taste the peace and reflection in the air. Then you walk into the Buikheide, a forest area that was once created for logging. You will see conifers and American oaks here. You walk back via the hamlet of Veneind.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
