From Delft to Sassenheim

This route takes you from the rural area near Delft to Sassenheim. First you drive through the Ackerdijkse Plassen nature reserve and the adjacent Ackerdijkse Bos. You pass Royal Delft, the last remaining pottery factory from the 17th century. Here you will learn more about the history and production process of Delft pottery. You can also have a drink and a snack there before cycling to the historic heart of Delft. You can then cycle quietly along the Vliet to the estates between The Hague and Wassenaar. You drive along the dunes to Rijnsburg, after which you explore the polders near Voorhout on a quiet road. Just before the end point you pass Tulip farm De Tulperij, a nice stop!
