Tour of Strabrechtse Heide and Heeze Castle

Your route starts at Heidecafé De Strabrechtse Heide. Here you enter one of the gems of Brabant nature: the Strabrechtse Heide. An immense plain of shrub and bell heather where several beautiful and quiet fens are located. You may come across the shepherd with his Kempen Heide sheep. In Geldrop you cycle through the stream valley area of the Kleine Dommel, a park-like environment that later takes on a more natural, marshy character. A little later you cycle through Gebergten and Herselse Heide, a coniferous forest just north of Lierop. You cycle back via Kasteel Heeze, beautifully situated in nature. The interior from the 18th century is still almost completely intact. Just before the end point you look out over the Kleine Dommel from a small bridge.
