Tour of Korenburgerveen, Winterswijk and Bredevoort

From the Slingeplas you enter the Winterswijk National Landscape. An ideal cycling area that consists of a mix of grasslands, forests, stream valleys and hedgerows. Cycling along car-free roads, you can fully enjoy the beautiful landscape and tranquility. About halfway you drive through Winterswijk, the former textile city. At Restaurant De Gulle Smid you can step off and grab a nice terrace. Enjoy your delicious meal and take a moment to take a look at Den Helder. The history of this double undershot watermill goes back to the Middle Ages. Further on you drive through the Bekendelle nature reserve. Finally, you pass through Bredevoort, a former fortified town. Take a break to browse around the bookshops and enjoy the special atmosphere.
