Tour Speulderbos and burial mounds near Garderen

Your route starts at Bospark de Wervelwind. You will soon pass the Exciting History location P04 - Garderen - Grafheuvels. On the moors of Bergsham near Garderen is a group of burial mounds from the Bronze Age (2000-800 BC). The people who lived here chose this remarkably high point to bury their dead. In lore it has been a place where ghosts and pagan gods have haunted for centuries. Further on you will discover the Speulderbos, one of the oldest and most beautiful forests in the country. There is a lot of wildlife here, because nature is allowed to run its course. On the southern edge, which you walk along, you can enjoy height differences that make the walk very special. You walk back to your starting point via the pleasant village of Garderen.
