Pleasant terrace route through the Bulb Region

You can enjoy cycling in the bulb region in South Holland. The roads are flat and the views of the flower fields are endless. You pass one cozy terrace after another and you cycle past the Keukenhof.

Drinking coffee on the coast
The boarding point is in Noordwijkerhout, the municipality with the largest area of bulb fields. The flower fields are most beautiful in the spring, but there is also plenty to see later in the year. Via Noordwijk you reach the coast where the route runs for a few kilometers on a cycle path in the dunes.

Have a bite to eat among the bulb fields
Via Rijnsburg and Oegstgeest you return to the bulb landscape. Along the way you will pass FloraHolland's large flower auction complex.

Tespelduyn estate
Just outside Lisse you cycle past the entrance to De Keukenhof. This beautiful flower bulb park is a well-known tourist attraction and it is definitely worth taking a look. A little further on you will find the Tespelduyn Estate. Here you can relax on the golf course with a unique view of the bulb fields, but even if you don't like golf there is plenty to do. At the end of the driveway are the beautiful locations't Landhuys and't Koetshuys. Here you can wander through the beautifully landscaped gardens of the estate. A nice place to stretch your legs after all that cycling.
