Tour of Walcheren from Vlissingen

The first part of the route takes you along the back of the dunes for quite a distance. One moment you are riding through a beautiful forest, the next past meadows or a creek. In between, you cycle through Zoutelande, a charming village where you can admire the beautiful St. Catherine's Church on the ring road. In the distance, you can see Westkapelle Hoog, an almost 50-meter-high church tower from 1470 that now serves as a lighthouse. You also pass Westkapelle itself. From the Zeedijk, you have a beautiful view of the low-lying town and the North Sea. Further on, you ride through the lively seaside resort of Domburg. At the Market Square, you can see the former town hall from 1567 and the 15th-century church. You return via old Veere and Middelburg.
