Tour of the Second Maasvlakte from Rockanje

Your cycle route starts with a real farm ice cream from De IJsboerin. From here you cycle straight across the Tweede Maasvlakte to the Fast Ferry stop. You will see many mighty ships from very close by, when you cross to Hoek van Holland with this ferry. The red cast iron Hoge Vuurtoren comes closer and closer. From the bank of the Nieuwe Waterweg you will see even more large ocean liners. Then you follow the coast to Maassluis, which became world famous in the nineteenth century due to a towing company. You can still find the National Towing Museum there. You cycle back via the beautiful fortified town of Brielle. Take some time to soak up the atmosphere here, you can admire no fewer than nine bastions and five ravelins!
