Tour of the Second Maasvlakte from Rockanje

Your cycling route starts with a real farm ice cream from De IJsboerin. From here you cycle straight across the Second Maasvlakte to the Fast Ferry stop. You will see many mighty ships up close when you cross to Hoek van Holland with this ferry. The red cast iron High Lighthouse is getting closer. From the shore of the Nieuwe Waterweg you can see even more large ocean ships. Then you follow the coast to Maassluis, which became world famous in the nineteenth century because of a towage company. You will still find the National Towing Museum there. You cycle back via the beautiful fortified town of Brielle. Take a moment to soak up the atmosphere here, you can admire no fewer than nine bastions and five ravelins!
