Tour of Beerze: along estate and esdorp

You see many height differences here, so you walk along so-called ridge dunes, dunes with a sharp, steep edge. To protect the agricultural area, oak trees were planted, which in turn became buried by the sand, after which new oak trees were planted again. In the hamlet of Beerze time seems to have stood still: you will see many old thatched Saxon farms and ash trees. This is a real esdorp, beautiful to see! The hooves are loosely spread out. On the black wooden sheds you can see the characteristic straw wickerwork that you encounter along the Vecht. You walk back along the beautifully meandering Vecht.
