Tour of Maasplassen from Roermond to Thorn

Your route starts with a cup of coffee at Hotel and Grand Café De Pauw. On the way to Thorn you cycle along the banks of the Maasplassen. You have beautiful views over the water here. In the distance you can already see the fortified town of Stevensweert. Just below Thorn you pass the Grote Hegge, a manor farm, the oldest part of which dates from the fifteenth century. In Thorn you imagine yourself in a different world. This town is also called the White Village because of the white facades that adorn many monumental buildings. A large part of the old habitation has been preserved in Wessem. Here you will discover the St. Medardus Church, which dates from 946. You cycle back via the Beegderheide and the beautiful Horn castle.
