Tour of Klein Boeschoten, Speulderbos and Ermelosche heath

Your route starts at Bospark de Wervelwind, near Garderen. From here you cycle straight through the woods to Klein Boeschoten, a private estate. Here you can still beautifully see the original design of the medieval Wildforster estate. In the Speulderbos near Drie you will encounter even more history around the Exciting History point P06 - Drie - Speulderbos. It looks like a 'primeval forest' with its gnarled, green mossy oaks and half-decayed trunks. The fact that ancient inhabitants also lived here is evident from the many burial mounds in the area. The Solse Gat is located in the Speulderbos, a hole surrounded by legends that dates back to the Ice Age. A little further on, at the Ermelosche Heide Visitor Center, you can learn more about the heath and the large flock of sheep that graze the heath.
