Tour of castles near Diepenheim

Your route starts at Camping Den Blanken. From here you cycle to small villages, whose church towers stand out like small houses on the horizon. Castle Het Nijenhuis is one of the best preserved manors in Overijssel. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful landscape and is first mentioned in 1382. After centuries as a residence, the castle was sold in 1934, after which a period of decline began. The castle was completely restored and Museum de Fundatie was built in it. The house is fully accessible to the public.
