Description
The Noorderplas has been renovated considerably, a lot of vegetation has been removed so that the entire former sand extraction lake can be seen. Two bridges provide a connection with the Noorderbos. Tilburg grew into the most important wool city in Brabant around 1600. If you drive into the city from junction 64, you will arrive in the Dwaalgebied, where you will find the nicest streets and shops in the city. Very atmospheric and historic! In the city you also cycle past beautiful old parks such as Wandelbos, a city park from 1920 that was designed by Leonard Springer. You cycle back along the Blauwe Meer, a popular recreational area for the people of Tilburg.
