In 2015, the 2bike4alzheimer Foundation is organizing a sponsored tour on tandems for research into Alzheimer's disease for the fourth year. The tandem symbolizes Alzheimer's disease. Those sitting in the back have no control and depend on good coordination with the driver. Participants in this tour cycle a 400 km long relay race in 24 hours. You have to care for someone with dementia around the clock, which is why we cycle for 24 hours. The participants also raise funds for research, in 2015 the Pearl Necklace Research. The organization is made possible by many volunteers and sponsors.

400 km bike ride for fundraising for Alzheimer's research, Start at Sports Association Olympia Haarlem, stops at Willem Alexander Rowing Course Zevenhuizen, Football Association Virtus Zevenbergen, Koning Willem I College Den Bosch, Ons Huis Nederasselt, Football Association Beekbergen, Zwolse Athletics Club Zwolle, Golf Course Her Rijk van Nunspeet and finish at World Restaurant Dara Amersfoort.

Participants form a team with which they register for the event. You can put together a team yourself with, for example, friends, colleagues, family members or members of your sports club. A team consists of 5 to 7 participants (4 to 6 cyclists and one or more drivers).
