Tour of Egmond-Binnen, beach and dunes

Soon you will pass Museum Abdij van Egmond. The origins of the abbey go back to the tenth century, the current monastery dates from 1933. Then you can walk straight into the North Holland Dune Reserve. Here you can make endless trips. The vastness and varied vegetation of the sandy soils provide a wide variety of plant and animal species. After a visit to the beach to get a breath of fresh air, you will discover the Reggers Sandervlak, a dune valley Dune reserve that has always remained moist. It lies at the foot of a large dune massif, the Westerberg, out of reach of the water extraction areas.
