Tour of Loenermark and Brummen estates

Your cycling route starts at Camping De Vinkenkamp, on the edge of the Veluwe. The Brummen estates include the Leusveld and Voorstonden estates and the Empese and Tondense heath nature reserve. They have been designated as a Natura 2000 area: a European network of nature reserves, intended to preserve Europe's rich biodiversity. A little later you drive into the vast forests of the Veluwe. The Loenermark is a beautifully varied area with, in addition to forests, also undulating heathlands and a sheepfold. Then you drive along the Vrijenbergerspreng back to your starting point. Along the way you will pass the Loenense waterfall: the highest waterfall in the Netherlands. This reduces the flow in the stream, which has a drop of about 15 meters over its 6.5 km length.
