Kessel Castle Route: tour of Roermond

Your cycling route starts with a cup of coffee at Boscafé de Busjop. Then you cycle along the Maas to Kessel. Here you will visit Keverberg Castle, a uniquely restored ruin with a beautiful view over the Maas. Then you cross the Maas with the ferry, always fun! You drive to the Swalmdal via Drakendorp Beesel. The Swalm still has its natural meandering course in the Netherlands. Walking through the stream valley with its moist grasslands and swamp forests, you seem to have ended up in a paradise from earlier times. Via the beautiful old village of Asenray and the nice Roermond you drive to Horn Castle, one of the oldest, still intact ring wall castles in the Netherlands.
