Tour of Thorn and Belgian Limburg from Wessem

You first cycle into Thorn via the fields of De Grote Hegge, an old manor house. In picturesque Thorn, most old houses have a white facade. One of the eye-catchers of Thorn is the St. Michael's Church, large parts of which date back to the fourteenth century. This cycle tour also leads through the very rural and green landscape around Maaseik. The route offers you wonderful views over vast farmland and you visit a few quiet but picturesque villages such as Aldeneik, Neeroeteren and Heppeneert. Then you return to Wessem, a gem on the Maas thanks to its well-preserved old town centre. The St. Medardus Church dates back to 946. What a nice atmosphere!
