Description
It is wonderful to cycle through the varied nature between Venlo and Helden. First you cycle past moist grasslands and swamp forests to Baarlo. Every now and then you have beautiful views of the Maas and the church towers on the other side of the river. A little later you enter the Heldense Bossen. This nature reserve consists of a mix of various contiguous pine forests and small-scale arable land. You can fully enjoy the silence here. After a shortcut towards the Maas you cycle through Neer. You cycle through the countryside to Helden and Panningen, after which you cycle along the edge of the Vlakbroek just before junction 88. This former swamp once had an open connection with the Maas.
