Around Cadier and Keer

Cadier en Keer is a beautiful village in the hills just outside Maastricht. Put on sturdy walking shoes and come and experience the charm of the rolling landscape.<b>Kruiswegtuin</b>You will soon see the monumental Sint Gerlach on your right, a former sanatorium built in marl from 1915. After you have crossed the Rijksweg, you pass the Kruiswegtuin Cadier en Keer. Here you can see a monumental Lourdes grotto from 1892, fourteen Stations of the Cross and a chapel. You also have a beautiful view of a vineyard and golf course.<b>Cadier en Keer</b>Along the golf course you walk towards Sint Antoniusbank. It is wonderfully quiet here between the rolling fields, orchards and hillside forests. You walk a bit through Cadier en Keer, after which you walk back into the green hills on the footpath. It will not take you any effort to recharge the battery here.
