Cycle route from Oldambt to Emden

At Ditzum you take the ferry (take a return) to Petkum. After Petkum you cycle along the"Ems-Seitenkanal\\\" to the center of Emden. Emden is the largest city in the Ostfriesland region. Emden likes to call itself the Venice of the North because of its many canals.  Despite the bombing during the war, much of the historic city center has survived. Around the old inner harbour, the Ratsdelft, there are still imposing buildings such as the town hall, the harbor gate and several museums such as the Kunsthalle and the Ostfriesische Landesmuseum.
