Walk around to Blauwhuis

You walk on low-traffic roads through a landscape of vast meadows, ditches and canals. In Parrega you can take a look at the medieval Church of Saint John the Baptist. Soon you dive into a nice walking path through the pristine and water-rich environment. Occasionally you see a farm that lies in the lee of some trees. How quiet it is here! In Blauwhuis you can view the beautiful St. Vitus Church from 1871, on the edge of Westhem is the beautiful Bartholomeus Church. In the village of Greonterp you can see some beautiful old buildings and a core from the early nineteenth century. The house at Doarpswei 16 was inhabited from 1964-1971 by the writer Gerard Reve.
