Tour Callantsoog and Schagen from Sint Maartenszee

From afar, you can see the Groote Kaap lighthouse. The current steel tower is almost seventeen meters tall. The Groote Kaap is still used to signal waterways. Julianadorp is named after the former queen. During World War II, the name was reverted to its original name, Loopuytdorp, by order of the Germans. After the liberation, the former farming village resumed its name as Julianadorp. Around Anna Paulowna, you can enjoy the bulb fields. In Schagen, you'll see several beautiful seventeenth-century buildings, including those on the Loet and Markt squares. The neo-Gothic Christoforus Church dates from 1883. The bell tower houses one of the oldest swinging bells in the Netherlands: Herman's bell from 1478.
