Amstel and Amsterdamse Bos by bike

Your cycle route starts at Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam. From here you follow the Amstel to the nice Ouderkerk and continue to Aalsmeer - known for the flower auction. Nearby you will discover the windmill'Zwarte Ruiter\\\'. The former flour mill was built in 1778 to drain the Zwarte or Schinkel polder. Then you cycle into the Amsterdamse Bos. It looks bigger than it is, thanks to the smart sightlines and'vanishing points\\'. Special animals such as the small newt and the ring snake can be found in the park. In a younger part of the Amsterdamse Bos, nature is almost completely given free rein. Scottish Highlanders graze the area, which creates a lot of variety in the vegetation. Also special are the many bridges, of which one design is even more original than the other.
