Description
MTB route de Schaak is a fixed mountain bike route in the Schadijker forests
in the municipality of Horst aan de Maas. The initiative for this MTB route was taken in June 2012 by land owner Staatsbosbeheer. The route has been laid out in consultation and with the help of many volunteers, mostly mountain bikers. The route was opened on April 14, 2013. Management is in the hands of the North Limburg Mountain Bike Promotion Foundation. The route is maintained by volunteers so that everyone can enjoy it permanently of a beautiful, challenging and safe mountain bike route.
Schadijkse Bossen
The Schadijkse Bossen with an area of approximately 525 hectares are located in the municipality of Horst aan de Maas. Staatsbosbeheer manages most of this area. History has left its mark here and has given an extra dimension to this beautiful piece of nature.
