An eight along the Zoom and Saarsven

After a circle around De Zoom you walk through Het Sarsven and De Banen. Here you will see pristine grasslands, willow thickets, gale and dry forests. The marsh harrier breeds in the rough vegetation and reed beds. You walk all the way around the fen De Banen. Around the banks you will find plenty of special plants such as riparian weed, marsh deer hay and creeping marsh plantain. There is a bird hide on the east side of this fen. With a bit of luck you can spot the osprey that sometimes comes to forage here. Via a nice shortcut you can walk between De Banen and Sarsven. It is wonderfully quiet here, a nice place to charge the battery!
