A figure eight along the Zoom and Saarsven

After a tour around De Zoom you walk through Het Sarsven and De Banen. Here you will see pristine grasslands, willow thickets, gale and dry forests. The marsh harrier breeds in the rough vegetation and reed collars. You walk all the way around the De Banen fen. Around the banks you will find plenty of special plants such as bank herb, marsh deer grass and creeping marsh plantain. There is a bird hut on the east side of this fen. With a bit of luck you will spot the osprey that sometimes comes to forage here. You can walk between De Banen and Sarsven via a nice shortcut. It is wonderfully quiet here, a nice place to charge the battery!
