Round Springendal near Ootmarsum

A little later you enter the woods of the Springendal. This nature reserve was laid out in 1920 by an Enschede textile baron in the style of an English country estate. The crystal clear water of the streams comes from springs that bubble up from the bottom of the Springendal. Then you walk to the small village of Nutter with its authentic farms. What a pleasure it is to walk here! In the Nutter area you can enjoy the tranquility of the Hezinger and Nutter Esch. You walk through a gently sloping landscape where fields on the es are interspersed with bushes and meadows. Everywhere you experience that surprisingly benevolent Twente peace and conviviality.
