Tour of Ootmarsum from Vasse

This nature reserve was laid out in 1920 by an Enschede textile baron in the style of an English country estate. The crystal clear water of the streams comes from springs that bubble up from the bottom of the Springendal. In Ootmarsum, the old center has a cozy and historic atmosphere. One of the eye-catchers is the HH Simon and Judas Church from the thirteenth century: the only church in the Netherlands built in Westphalian Romano-Gothic style. Put your bike aside here, grab a terrace and stroll around! The Open Air Museum is worth it, with this short route you might have time for it.
