Description

From Eetcafe Tinus in Noorbeek you can walk your legs towards the adjacent hamlet of Wesch. Both towns enjoy a protected village view, partly because of the beautiful half-timbered houses, square farms, the centuries-old St. Brigida Church and the Brigida source where the Noor rises. In the valley of this stream you walk past swampy meadows, old deciduous trees and standard orchards. Glan cattle are grazing again, the reintroduced species that already existed in South Limburg until the beginning of the nineteenth century. The route also takes you across the border into the Voer region. Here you walk through the Hoogbos, a beautiful oak-birch forest. Occasionally it takes some climbing over the steep slopes, but the views are a nice reward. In the Dutch part of the forest you mainly walk between fragrant Norway spruces.
