Tour the villages in South Limburg

From your starting point you will quickly cycle to the lovely village of Mheer, once voted one of the ten most beautiful villages in the Netherlands. For example, you will see the seventeenth-century St. Lambertus Church, with the fourteenth-century Mheer Castle behind it. Then you continue to Banholt and Groenendaal, a large nineteenth-century farm that was once a castle. You drive behind the Neuburgermolen and the idyllically situated Neuburg Castle. The history of the castle dates back at least to the fourteenth century. Via Simpelveld you cycle to Vijlen, a high-altitude village near the Vijlenerberg. You cross the Geuldal, one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Netherlands. Get off at Eetcafe Tinus in Noorbeek! Then you drive through the Voerstreek and along the Eijsdenerbos back to where you started.
