Green cycle route

Soon after boarding you will pass Landgoed Oostbroek, where the landscape consists of a mix of flowery grasslands, marshes and old deciduous forest. Just past Bunnik you drive through Amelisweerd, a patchwork of forests, meadows and orchards. The area is veined with ditches, straight avenues and winding paths. The woods date from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. A little later you drive through the center of Utrecht, which is of course teeming with beautiful historic buildings. On the Oudegracht, for example, you can see Stadskasteel Oudaen. Then you cycle up the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The wooded area of Den Dolder and Bosch en Duin is known for the majestic villas that wealthy merchants built here around 1900 as a holiday home.
