Green cycle route

Soon after boarding, you will pass Landgoed Oostbroek, where the landscape consists of a mix of flowery grasslands, marshes and an old deciduous forest. Just past Bunnik, you will cycle through Amelisweerd, a patchwork of forests, meadows and orchards. The area is crisscrossed with ditches, straight lanes and winding paths. The forests date from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. A little later, you will cycle through the centre of Utrecht, which is naturally teeming with beautiful historic buildings. For example, on the Oudegracht you will see Stadskasteel Oudaen. Then you will cycle up the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The wooded area of Den Dolder and Bosch en Duin is known for the majestic villas that wealthy merchants built here as holiday homes around 1900.
