E-bike route Utrecht, Amersfoort and Heuvelrug

Your cycle route starts at Recreatiepark Dijnselburg. From here you can discover the authentic center of Utrecht with its historic buildings, surprising courtyards and canals with wharf cellars that are unique in the Netherlands. You will also pass the Dom Tower and Stadskasteel Oudaen, a fortified medieval house. Further along the route you will come to an interesting stop to get off: the National Military Museum, a new museum on the former Soesterberg airbase. The historic city of Amersfoort is a wonderful next destination. The Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren is 98 meters high and the center of the Netherlands. you cycle back straight through De Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park. The area was created 150,000 years ago when ice and water pushed up masses of earth and stones to form a ridge.
