Tour of estates near Wolfheze

Your walk starts at Van der Valk Hotel Arnhem. From here you walk to B15 - Arnhem Buitenplaats Lichtenbeek. In the Late Middle Ages, the Lichtenbeek estate was owned by the Mariëndaal monastery. From the 17th century it became private property. The country house that once stood here burned down completely in 1942. Only the coach house and the orangery remained standing. But the estate still exists and is freely accessible. Via the Westerheide you continue to B14 - Arnhem - Landgoed Warnsborn. It is first mentioned in the 15th century. It grows into a stately country house with a chapel, coach house, park and orangery. During World War II, the country house went up in flames, but was rebuilt afterwards. You walk back through the woods.
