Cycling between Doetinchem and Gendringen

There was a varied cycle tour between Gendringen and Doetinchem. The first kilometers you drive on car-free roads through a landscape of grasslands, fields and small forest plots. You regularly see a characteristic old farm. You drive into Doetinchem along the course of the Oude IJssel. In the old city center you will see the Walmolen from 1851. At the Slangenburg Estate you will see a mix of forests and cultivated lands. In spring the blooming rhododendrons are a feast for the eyes. The avenue system is unique to the Netherlands because of its scale and authenticity. The route then takes you to Terborg, a beautiful old town. In Silvolde you will see the Old Mauritius Church that originally dates from 1100. You cycle back to the starting point, Camping't Zwaantje, along the Oude IJssel.
