Cycling route: 196128
Provided by: route.nl
This route takes you through two regions located just below Doetinchem: the Montferland and the Oude IJsselstreek. You start the route in Beek, which is located in the Montferland. You cycle to Kilder via Loerbeek. Just past junction 44 you will see a monumental hail cross on the left of the road: an old Catholic custom to ward off evil spirits so that crops are not damaged by hail. Just outside Braamt you will see the Braamse Molen. This flour mill dates from 1856. Then you enter the Oude IJsselstreek. You will pass Camping't Zwaantje, a beautiful and quiet holiday address. In's-Heerenberg you drive through the picturesque old city center, where you will see, among other things, a moated castle from the thirteenth century. You drive back to Beek via a shortcut.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
